Germany sit top of the SVNS 2 standings after the opening round played at Nyayo Stadium in Nairobi.
The Germans, who were crowned champions, registered four wins and one loss and now lead the series with 20 points.
USA are second on 18 points, also after winning four of their five matches. They edged Kenya in the final round, a result that pushed them ahead of Shujaa in the standings.

Kenya finish the Nairobi leg in third place with 16 points, following their 21–5 loss to the USA.
Uruguay complete the top four with 14 points, while Belgium sit fifth on 12 points, just two points shy of Uruguay. Canada place sixth with 10 points.
About SVNS 2
The 2026 SVNS 2 is the inaugural season of the SVNS 2 series, the second-tier global rugby sevens competition for national teams.
The series will feature three tournaments hosted in Kenya, Uruguay, and Brazil. The top four teams on aggregate points across the three legs will qualify for the SVNS World Championship.
Following the Nairobi opener, the teams will travel to Montevideo and São Paulo for the final two rounds of the series.
