Matchday Seven of the 2025/2026 KRU Championship delivered drama, late swings and crucial points across the country as the race for promotion and playoff places intensified.
Western Bulls and Mombasa RFC played out the first draw of the day in a hard-fought 16–16 stalemate at Kakamega Showground, with neither side able to find the decisive score despite late pressure.
Mombasa led at the break as they had 10-3. In the final half, Apwoka added three points on Echulusi before Kevin Maiche switching to scrum-half managed to land a try which was converted by Apwoka for a 13-10.
Kelvin Chege level the scores before going ahead of the scoreboard. They then went on lead 16-13 before Apwoka cut the gap to make it 16-16.

NYS Spades edged out USIU Martials 25–22 in a tightly contested encounter that went down to the wire. Kisii RFC continued their strong home form with an 18–15 win over Mean Machine, grinding out the result in a tense affair that was decided by fine margins.
Mwamba RFC produced a commanding performance to beat Homeboyz 28–16 while CUEA Monks capped off the day in style, running in a series of well-worked tries to defeat Zetech Oaks 38–24 and collect a crucial bonus-point victory.
