The Kenya Lionesses have named a 14-player squad that will travel to Spain for a high-performance training camp as they intensify preparations for the opening round of the HSBC SVNS 2, which will be staged in Nairobi on 14–15 February 2026.
The team will depart for Alicante on 26 January for a week-long camp focused on sharpening fitness levels, building combinations and refining tactical systems, before returning home on 31 January.
The squad selection comes after weeks of rigorous training, with the technical bench rewarding players who showed discipline, consistency and strong form in recent competitions
Sheila Chajira will lead the side as captain, with Freshia Oduor appointed vice-captain. The group is further bolstered by the inclusion of Stellah Wafula, who returns to the setup after completing a performance programme in the United States, while Grace Okulu will join the squad directly in Spain from France.

During the camp, Kenya will take on Spain and Belgium in a series of high-intensity training matches, providing valuable match exposure against quality opposition ahead of the Nairobi leg.
“The decision to base the camp in Europe is part of our broader performance plan, aimed at testing combinations, building match fitness and fine-tuning our tactical execution ahead of the Nairobi leg of the HSBC SVNS 2,” said Kenya Lionesses head coach Simon.
The travelling squad features: Christabel Lindo, Naomi Amuguni, Janet Okelo, Sheila Chajira, Nelly Chikombe, Edith Saly, Moreen Muritu, Stellah Wafula, Phoebe Otieno, Sinaida Mokaya, Freshia Oduor, Faith Livoi, Marvel Oswago and Grace Okulu.
The Spain tour is seen as a key step in the Lionesses’ build-up, as they look to start their HSBC SVNS 2 campaign strongly in front of a home crowd.
