KCB Rugby overcame a resilient Kenya Harlequin to win 24-12 at a match played at the KCB Sports Club.
The first half was dominated by set pieces, mostly scrums due to knocks ons back to back. The guests were the first to draw blood thanks to Mohammed Khaider who forced his way past the try line with the conversion accurate.

Captain Oscar Sorano, making his maiden start, thanks to a carry after a series of passes got a pass carrying his way to the centre of the posts dotting down making it easy for Brian Wahinya to convert to make the scores 7-7.
The remainder of the game would then be dominated by scrums and line outs although Quins had to put up a good defence as KCB camped in their half in a zeal to break their defense and make scores.
Ariel balls were also eminent with Quins constantly using them to clear the balls off their territory.

In the second half, the set pieces continued to dominate the game and it was Patrick Wainaina dotting down on the far right although the conversion was unsuccessful.
KCB rugby replied with a try from Fidel Maina after camping at the Quins 22 making scores 14 -12 after Wahinya split the posts.
The tense second half saw both teams see each other try box but not try was made until Brian Wahinya broke the dry spell through a penalty that made scores 17-12.
The game got tense to a point the players exchanged blows prompting the game to stop for a moment.
KCB was heavy in attack while the Kenya Harlequins remained relentless until Brian Wahinya broke the dry spell and went ahead to convert his own try to make scores 24-12.
This marked the end of an intense which unlike the expectations of many was expected to be high scoring
