Sorano to make long awaited Kenya Cup return for KCB Rugby against Nakuru

KCB Rugby Club have unveiled a formidable starting XV for their Kenya Cup Match Day 4 encounter against Nakuru RFC, set for Saturday, January 10, at the Nakuru Athletics Club.

Their will be first-time appearances in this campaign for fly-half Levy Amunga, centre Bob Muhati and prop Oscar Sorano.

Up front, Thomas Okidia anchors the loosehead side of the scrum and he is joined by hooker Fidel Maina and tighthead Wilhite Mususi.

In the engine room, John Aswani partners Andycole Omollo in the second row.

Youngster Joseph Wanjala lines up on the blindside flank for his fourth straight start.

Bramwel Kilwake is on the openside with Captain Felix Ojow slotting in at number eight.

In the half-back combination, Jenkins Kipruto takes charge at scrum-half and he is paired with Levy Amunga at fly-half, who makes his first appearance of the season.

The midfield sees Bob Muhati partnering with Tyson Maina.

Out wide, Mike Wekesa starts on the left wing, while Austin Sikutwa occupies the right wing.

At fullback, Elvis Namusasi provides a reliable last line of defence.

On the bench, KCB boast depth and impact options, including Sorano, who makes his first matchday appearance since undergoing surgery in October 2024.

He is joined among the replacements by Wilfred Waswa, Patrick Ouko, Wiston Macharia, Emmanuel Silungi, Emmanuel Opondo, Mike Kimwele and Dominic Sande, ensuring cover across all positions.
