2025 BingwaFest Central Region pools released

BingwaFest Central Region 10s pools have been confirmed ahead of the tournament scheduled for December 19 to 21 in Meru.

The Central Region leg will bring together men’s and women’s teams from universities, community clubs and academies, with matches set to be played at Meru School on Friday and Saturday before the action moves to Kinoru Stadium for the finals on Sunday.

In the men’s competition, Pool A features Tharaka University, Dedan Kimathi University, Chuka University and Maua Lions, a group that promises closely fought encounters between university sides.

Pool B will see MKU Titans, Kunene Vipers, Kiambu Rugby and Timau Spartans battle for a place in the knockout stages.

EDITOR’S PICKS:

Pool C brings together Meru Rugby, Makutano Stormers, KEMU Pitbulls and Kutus Dragons, while Pool D includes Meru University, Karatina University, Murang’a Trojans and Berzekers Tharaka, rounding off a competitive men’s line-up.

The women’s category will also be in focus, with Pool A comprising Quins Panthers Academy, Meru University, Tharaka University and Meru Rugby.

Pool B features Murang’a Troades, Karatina University, Chuka University and Blad Academy Central, highlighting the growing depth of women’s rugby in the Central Region.

Powered by Betika na Community, the BingwaFest Central 10s is expected to draw strong competition as teams chase regional honours and a chance to shine on a growing national platform.
