Menengai Oilers have confirmed their matchday squad for their Kenya Cup clash against Kisumu RFC set for Saturday, 6 December 2025 at the ASK Grounds in Nakuru.
Head Coach Gibson Weru has retained the core of the team but introduced key changes as the Oilers look to build momentum in the early stages of the season.
Menengai Oilers changes
Tighthead prop Destrious Ifedha, who started against Impala, keeps his place in the front row, but this weekend he scrums down alongside Byrone Cornel and Celestine Mboi, who step into the starting lineup in place of Fortune Aturo and Victor Were, both of whom drop to the bench.
In the second row, Argwings Owino retains his jersey, partnering again with Wallace Onyango, who replaces last weekend’s starter Ibrahim Ayoo, now named among the substitutes and serving as co-captain from the bench.

The back row remains intact, with Jadah Adon, Amos Obae (CC), and Samuel Were all keeping their starting roles after impressive performances in the previous outing.
The Oilers make only one notable backline change from the team that defeated Impala. Denis Abukuse, who started on the wing last weekend, is replaced by Daniel Kipchirchir, who slots in on the right wing.
The rest of the backline stays unchanged, with Clarkson Keegan at scrum-half and Samuel Mwaura at fly-half guiding proceedings. Timothy Omela, John Okoth, and Philip Okeyo maintain their midfield and wing combinations, while Abutwalib Wesonga continues at fullback after scoring last weekend.
