MMUST winning streak in the KRU Championship beating visiting Daystar Falcons 18-13 at MMUST Grounds
The Falcons dominated MMUST’s territory in the opening minutes of the game, with Eddy Wambigu missing a penalty in the 7th minute.
MMUST were the first to get on the scoreboard through Veron Kaburu with a drop-goal, making it 3-0 in the second quarter. The fly-half, however, couldn’t convert the second penalty after one of the host team’s players failed to release the ball on time. Despite the 10-meter distance, the kicker couldn’t change the scoreboard.
Emmanuel Marakho split MMUST’s defense with a powerful run on the right edge and dived to score the first try, though the conversion went wide.
Byron Ogada responded in less than a minute with a try, but Veron Kaburu missed the conversion. The first half ended with the home team leading 8-5.
