Homeboyz Rugby bounced back to winning form with a dominant 38-16 win over Western Bulls at Madaraka Grounds on Saturday.

The Deejayz took a 17-9 lead into halftime after crossing the try line three times in the first half. Augustine Simiyu opened the scoring with an unconverted try, before Western Bulls’ winger Meshack Okari reduced the deficit with a penalty, making it 5-3.

Emmanuel Kioko extended Homeboyz’s lead with a second try, though it went unconverted. Okari responded with back-to-back penalties, narrowing the gap to just one point. However, Homeboyz finished the first half strong with scrum-half Sospeter Yoga crossing over for a converted try, taking them to the break with a 17-9 advantage.

In the second half, Homeboyz quickly regained control. David Lutomia scored a try, and a successful conversion gave them a 24-9 lead. Western Bulls’ Nickson Manduku fought back with a try of his own, which Okari converted to make it 24-16.
