Kabras RFC have announced their squad for the Kenya Cup opener against Impala RFC, scheduled for Saturday at 3:00 PM at the Kakamega Showground with this match set to mark the Sugarmen’s 11th season in the top-tier league.
Kenya U20 international Darrel Oluoch will make his Kenya Cup debut, starting in the front row alongside Teddy Akala and Emmanuel Otieno, who will face his former team, Impala. Oluoch, a Barthes Cup winner with Chipu, brings youth and promise to the side.
Kabras RFC back row
Clinton Litali and Patrick Lumumba are set to partner in the second row, while former Kenya U20 back-rower Collins Indeche takes up the blindside flanker position. Biden Hayo starts on the openside, with Gabriel Adero stepping in as number eight following Jeanson Misoga’s injury during the regular season finale.
Roy Maruti, a former Vihiga High School halfback and Christie 7s winner is also set for his senior debut. He will pair up with fly-half Eric Cantona, who replaces playmakers Ntabeni Dukisa and Barry Robinson, both sidelined after Kenya Simbas duty.
The midfield features Walter Okoth, fresh from Elgon Cup success, partnering with Hillary Salano. The back three comprises Victor Otieno on the right wing, Humphrey Asiligwa on the left wing, and Kenya U20 fullback James Olela at fullback.
