Strathmore Leos back undergoes surgery

Strathmore Leos outside back, Joseph Ayiro will miss the remainder of the season after he underwent surgery to fix his knee.

The Leos through an Instagram post indicated that Ayiro who doubles up as their winger/fullback had a complete tear of his anterior cruciate ligament.

“Joseph Ayiro, our mercurial fullback/winger, begins his road to recovery after successfully undergoing surgery to repair a complete tear in his ACL. Here’s to a speedy and strong comeback! Help us wish him, a quick recovery” Strathmore announced.

His surgery has come at a time when Strathmore are fighting for a chance in playoffs. They’re at position seven with 20 points.

A bonus point win for them and a loss to Mwamba RFC and Blak Blad in their remaining games will see them sail through.

Strathmore Leos will be in Kisumu City to face off against Kisumu RFC in what will be their final game of the regular season.
