The Barbarians showcased their strength by defeating Ikonyero 48-5, who became the first team to score against Amos Wamanga’s charges in the tournament.

In the final match, they secured a convincing 42-0 win over Shieywe, advancing to the county level.

The eight-time National 15s Champion have faced challenges post-COVID. In 2023, they relinquished their Kakamega County title to Koyonzo High School, who clinched their maiden 15s County title with a 33-9 victory at St. Peter Mumias Grounds in March 2023.

Kakamega loss

During the regionals they failed to progress past the group stage after a 15-3 loss to Vihiga High School, missing out on the semi-finals.
