Kenya Cup champions, Kabras RFC, showcased their dominance with a commanding 88-3 victory over Strathmore Leos at Strathmore Grounds in Madaraka, propelling them to 30 points in the top tier standings.
In this emphatic win, David Bundiki secured a hattrick, while Jeason Misoga and Brian Mutua each contributed with two tries, contributing to a total of 14 tries for Kabras.
Kabras RFC forward lead
The match kicked off with the forwards, particularly eighth man Jeanson Misoga, leading the charge. Misoga powered past opponents from the back of the scrum, scoring the opening try converted by Ntabeni Dukisa, giving Kabras a 7-0 lead.
The team continued to dominate as Kenya 7s International William Mwanji added another try, converted by Dukisa, extending the lead to 14-0.
Second rowers Brian Juma and David Bunduki further widened the gap with two additional tries, securing the crucial bonus point. Despite Strathmore Leos earning a three-pointer, Bryceson Adaka intercepted a pass, scoring Kabras’ fifth try, with Dukisa converting for a 35-3 lead.

A powerful scrum shove allowed Kabras to edge closer, and Misoga secured his second try, leading to a commanding 42-3 halftime advantage.
The second half witnessed more scoring, with backs Alfred Orege and Walter Okoth making their mark on the scoresheet. Bunduki, already with two tries, completed his hat trick, and infringements in the scrum resulted in a penalty try.
Patrick Lumumba, last weekend’s hat trick hero, contributed to the scores, and Barry Robinson’s successful conversions led to a comprehensive 76-3 lead.
Brian Mutua sealed the dominant performance with a late brace, sealing an 88-3 victory for Kabras RFC.
