Makueni RFC name squad to take on Stallions RFC

Makueni RFC Head Coach Ken Munyao and his vice Alvin Luvai have announced their side ahead of the Nairobi Nationwide clash against Stallions which is scheduled to take place on Saturday 20th January 2024 at Kabete Poly from 3 pm.

Makueni are eyeing winning ways after a 10-19 defeat at the Impala grounds by Ngong RFC and will work to redeem their previous loss.

The team welcomes back Brian Kavita and Sammy Ochieng who will play on the left and right wings respectively. Freshman Olwande and Felyvian Juma will start in the midfield.

John Irungu will get the nod at hooker and will be joined in the front row by loosehead prop Ibrahim Franklin and tighthead Louis Sawaya. The squad’s second row will feature Rian Odhiambo and William Awillo as locks.

Kilian Anyangu the squad’s skipper will start as the openside flanker and his assistant Dennis Odhiambo will be the left flanker, finally the back row will be completed by Bill Bunyasi at number 8.

Makueni’s half-backs will be David Ng’ang’a(scrum-half) and the second vice skipper Emmanuel Kilonzo ( fly half).

Dennis Ochieng, Clyde Ochieng, Titus Kasili, Castro Odhiambo, Benard Mulei, Joseph Nzomo, Collins Swala, Eddie Masinde, and Wallace Kiarie will make Makeuni’s experienced bench.
