Ngong RFC overpower Makueni RFC in Impala Grounds

Ngong RFC got off to a great start in the Nairobi Nationwide event after the festive season break by winning 19-10 against Makueni in the Impala Grounds.

The match began with an early lead for Ngong RFC, with Elly Ojwang scoring a try that was not converted. Soon after, Solomon Buoga scored another try, which was followed by extras added by Dennis Momanyi, taking the score to 12-0.

After an extended struggle from Makueni’s side, Ngong conceded a penalty that was well taken by Kilonzo Emmanuel, resulting in a half-time score of 19-3.

In the second half, both teams added seven points to their previous scores. Solomon Buoga started by adding seven points to Ngong RFC’s score with a penalty and an unconverted try.

Makueni RFC responded with a try from their number 8, Bunyasi Bill, and Emmanuel’s conversion took their score to seven points more, sending both teams to the dressing room with 19-10.
