KRU Championship: Kabarak edge Western Bulls, Daystar thrash Machine

kABARAK

Western Bulls were handed another narrow defeat falling 8-7 to Kabarak University at Kabarak Grounds in Nakuru.

Heading to the match, both sides had dished out walkovers in the opener but the students were off the mark last weekend after beating USIU.

On the other hand, Western Bulls had lost 18-8 to fellow former Kenya Cup side Impala at home and were seeking redemption.

However, the clash was tight, with both sides managing a try each. While the Bulls converted theirs, the hosts added a three-pointer to their tally for a win.

The Bulls’ try was scored by Brian Okute with Allan Kasiti adding the extras for their seven points.

Daystar Falcons kept their fine start to the season after thrashing Mean Machine 50-5. The wins saw the students end the year on a high having won their opening two matches picking maximum points.

Impala RFC also maintained their good start to the season beating Mean Machine 24-15.

The match between South Coast Pirates and JKUAT Cougars was been postponed while MMUST who were awarded a walkover against Mean Machine were not in action this weekend.
