Uganda Cup standings after 4th round

Uganda Rugby Union has released the current Uganda Cup table standings after a successful fourth-round matches of the group stage.

Group A has  Heathens maintaining their lead with 15 points and enjoying a point difference of 175 after drilling in 185 points and conceding only 10 in the three rounds.

Rams follow the Heathens closely with 13 points after their third round. Walukuba Barbarians are third blessed on the league table, they sit with six points after scoring 101 points and conceding 26 to have a point difference of 75.

Kyambogo have five points to sit at their fourth position on the log with six points after a 38-0 victory over Tooro Lions who are maintaining the bottom position without any points after playing four rounds.

In Group B, the Buffaloes overtake Stanbic after a 22-5 win against Elgon Wolves to be at the top position on the league table. They have 14 points and a point difference of 66 after scoring 83 and conceding 17.

Pirates are currently in second place with 10 points after playing three rounds, having lost only one match. Kampani’s Eagles have displaced Elgon Wolves from the third position, now sitting in fourth place with five points. Kitugum Lions remain at the bottom of the table with no points, having lost all four rounds.

Group C has Plascon Mongers at the top of the log. They sit with 14 points and enjoy a superior point difference of 131 after scoring 134 and conceding only 3 in the three rounds.

Kob are in second place with 10 points and is followed by Njeru Hurricanes who conceded 20-0 to Mongers and sit with five points.

Warriors are the fifth with four points after their third round, they are followed by Titans who have maintained their fifth position without a point since the opening of the Uganda Cup. They have scored only 18 points and conceded 254 and therefore have an inferior point difference of -236.

Impis remain at the top of Group D with 13 points, followed by Hippos with 8 points after the third round.

The Rhinos are currently in third place with seven points and a point difference of 20. They have scored 67 points and conceded 47. Following closely are the Lira Bulls with four points after the third round. At the bottom of the log are Gulu City Falcons with the same points as the Bulls, but with an inferior point difference of -90. In their fourth round, the Falcons only managed to score 18 points and conceded 128.

First-round results of the Uganda Cup for women see the Nile Rapids as the most outstanding players after 81-0 victory over Kabale Berg Princesses.

Thunderbirds women beat Ewes 15-05 while Panthers conceded 39-17 to Black Pearls. Finally, Gulu Sprinters Women were defeated by Avengers who scored them 34-05.
