In a noteworthy development, Omondi, the only Kenyan player selected for the academy side, was scouted based on his national team experience.

Rhino, a Canada-based outfit home to Kenya 7s international winger Collins Shikoli Javan, is reportedly considering Omondi for recruitment, with sources close to the club indicating that he has impressed the technical staff.
