Uganda Cup: Heathens, KOBs blow away opponents in 2nd round

The Uganda Cup second-round matches wer played on Saturday 25 November featuring 16 teams playing in different parts of the country.

In the match played at Kitante Primary School, the Buffalo team emerged victorious over the Eagles after a 15-09. The Eagles took the lead first in the seventh minute through their mercurial fly-half, Keith Mugisha. However, the Buffaloes managed to take the lead ten minutes later with a try from debutant Joab Oluoch.

Eagles drilled in a penalty through Mugisha once again to lead again before Buffaloes could respond with a come completing the match with a 15-09 win.

The Heathens played an exciting game against the Tooro Lions and emerged as the winners with an outstanding score of 138-07. Meanwhile, at the Kyambogo Grounds, the host team, Kyambogo, conceded 15 points and scored only 10 points in their match against the Rams.

KOBs dominated their match against Mbarara Titans, winning 107-0 as Plascon Mongers beat Warriors 17-0 in Entebbe.

At Kitugum grounds, the host Kitugum Lions lost to Stanbic Black Pirates, conceding 71-0 points and finally, Hippos won their match against the Elgon Wolves, scoring 67-12 points.
