Koyonzo, Vihiga to battle in Western Region Rugby 7s final

National Defending Champions Koyonzo High School have booked a place in the Western Region final and will face off with Vihiga High School on Saturday at Bull Ring in Kakamega County.

Koyonzo returned to the final for the second year in a row after a 27-0 win over Kimobo high school. Vihiga on their part beat Bungoma 24-0 to book a place in the final.

Emmanuel Pila grabbed a hattrick of tries while Roy Maruti had one try and two conversions for a 24-0 win for Vihiga.

Kimobo have booked a maiden slot in the Nationals alongside Bungoma with the two set to face off in the third-place playoffs.

Senende finished fifth after grabbing the Plate following a 26-5 win over Mukumu Boys. St Peter Mumias were seventh after beating Kibabii 31-12 in the Bowl final.

Kakamega School have settled for ninth after a win over Kamusinga.
