Uasin Gishu County Rugby 7s games will enter the semi-final stage on Sunday with four sides still in the race for the title.
St. Michael Kipsombe High School who represented Uasin Gishu County at the regional level until their elimination in the regional Semifinals, will have to fight to ensure they maintain their county title against well-set teams in the Semifinals.
They are scheduled to face Teldet Secondary in the second semi-final while the first semi-final will see Chebisas play against Kabongo.
According to Timothy Natembeya, the St. Michael Kipsombe Head coach, the team will have to highly fight as most of the outstanding players are out due to injuries they sustained during the group stages.
“Our 15s tournament MVP, Brian, is out because he sustained a leg injury and we have nursed the injury and we hope he regains energy so that he can walk us to victory,” claimed Natembeya.
Chebisas are all ambitious and eager to represent county 64 in the regional games scheduled for the 18th – 22nd of July 2023.
“We believe we are also capable to play better and qualify for the Regionals and changing history,” said Lawi Kipruto Chebisas coach.
The winner in the semi-final 1 will play against winner in semi-final 2 In the finals.
