KCB Rugby name squad for Great Rift 10 aside

KCB Rugby have announced their squad for the Great Rift 10 Aside which will be held in Nakuru Athletic Club on Saturday 20 and Sunday 21 May 2023.

The squad will be captained by veteran Martin Owilla and will be assisted by Isaac Njoroge. Former Daystar Falcons player Emmanuel Opondo is set for his first appearance for the club.

The coach has also included Bramwel Kilwake, Fidel Maina, Bob Muhati, Trevor Odawa, Elphas Adunga and Festus Shiasi.

Speedster Geoffrey Okwach, Ishmael Gorio, Arthur Owira, Brian Munyali, Edwin Otieno, Gabriel Namusasi and reserve Eugene Sirima are all on board for the 10s tournament which returns for the first time since 2019.

Menengai Oilers are the reigning champions, having defeated Homeboyz 10-5 at the Nakuru Athletic Club in the 2019 edition.

KCB finished third with a 17-5 win over Blakblad and will be hoping to better their performance. Masinde Muliro University of Science and Technology claimed the 5th place after a 33-10 win over Strathmore Leos.
