Butula Boys are the 2023 KSSSA Rugby 15s National Champions after beating All Saints 38-0 in the final played in Eldoret on Saturday.

This is the first national 15s title for Butula, making them the fifth school from the Western Region to win the title after Kakamega School, Musingu, Bungoma, and St. Peters. The team was led by Libondo Shimenga, who also won the title with St. Peters Mumias in 2014.

Both Butula and All Saints entered the final with a 100% win record in the competition and were hoping to clinch their maiden title.

Butula took the lead in the first half by scoring 10 points and added 28 more in the final half to secure the victory.

Rayvone Ambale played a crucial role in the win by scoring a try, converting two conversions, and three penalties. Reuben Amani and Michael Lukusi also scored a try each.

As champions, Butula and All Saints will represent Kenya in the upcoming East African 15s games scheduled for August. St. Anthony Kitale secured the third position after defeating Ofafa Jericho 13-12.
