The KRU Nationwide National competition will enter the semi-final stage on Saturday 8 April 2023.
In the first semi-final, former Kenya Cup side Mombasa will be facing off against North Rift side Kitale in a highly anticipated semifinal at Mombasa Sports Club at 3:00 PM.
The winner of this match will earn a spot in next season’s Championship.
The second semifinal will be a match between JKUAT Cougars and Moi University Arsonists which will be staged at JKUAT Grounds in Juja with the winner also qualifying for the Championship.
Mombasa earned their place in the semis with a hard-fought 18-13 victory over Sigalagala in Mombasa, while Kitale claimed a narrow 9-3 win over Administration Police Warriors in their quarterfinal clash played in Juja.
JKUAT Cougars also booked their spot in the semifinals with a 19-8 win over Machakos University, while Moi University Arsonists emerged victorious with an impressive 33-15 win over Makueni.
The KRU Nationwide National Semis are sure to provide an exciting weekend of rugby as these four former Championship sides battle it out for a chance at promotion to the Championship.
