“The U20 Barthes Trophy returns from 22nd to 30th April 2023 at the Nyayo National Stadium,” Kenya Rugby Union.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the return of the World Junior tournament to Africa. The tournament has been off since 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Kenya’s under-20 team will be looking to build on their third-place finish in the 2022 Barthes Cup, where they thrashed Madagascar 49-15 in the bronze medal match.

In 2022, Zimbabwe emerged victorious in the Barthes Trophy after a thrilling 19-14 win over Namibia in the final. The Zimbabwean team displayed incredible skill and resilience, and they will be hoping to repeat their success in the upcoming tournament.
