Nakuru RFC came from behind to beat MMUST 27-23 in a Kenya Cup match played at MMUST Grounds on Saturday.

For MMUST, the lose complicates their survival chances with only two matches remaining on the schedule.

Eric Cantona kicked an early penalty to give MMUST an early lead, but Nakuru responded quickly with a penalty of their own to level the score at 3-3.

However, Cantona was not to be deterred. Just after a half an hour mark, he intercepted the ball and brilliantly scored the first try of the game. Timothy Mmasi added the extras.

Cantona followed up with a drop goal to further widen the lead to 13-3 at halftime.

Timothy Mmasi added a long range drop goal, bringing the score to 16-3.

Nakuru were not going to let MMUST run away with the game, and Javan Otieno quickly responded with a converted try for the scores to read 16-10 in favor of MMUST.

MMUST continued their dominance as Jadah Abdon scored a try, assisted by Joseph at Omulefu. Eric Cantona added the extra two points, increasing their lead to 23-10.

However, Nakuru were not done yet, and Amos Obaye scored a try, which was converted by Javan Otieno. The scores now stood at 23-17, with Nakuru closing the gap on MMUST.

Obae landed two more tries for a Nakuru to end to complete their comeback for 27-23 win and the third win of the season.
