Blak Blad power past Mean Machine; Oilers and Nakuru lose

Blak Blad overpowered Mean Machine to win 35-27 in a Kenya Cup match at Kenyatta University Grounds on Saturday, February 4th.

Blad took the lead with a try from Jared Odhiambo, converted by Kelvin Gathua. Lionel Ajeliti and Dickens Storm added two more tries, both converted by Gathua, to give Blak Blad a comfortable lead.

Mean Machine tried to rally with a try from Simon Omondi, but Blak Blad continued to impress with Ajeliti’s second try and Gathua’s conversion.

In the second half, Mean Machine picked up their pace, scoring tries through Adam Mugo, Brian Omondi and Leone Gaunyo but Archadius Khwesa added a final try for Blad.

At Madaraka Grounds, Strathmore Leos handed Menengai Oilers a 25-21 defeat which was the latter’s second loss of the season.

In Nakuru, kenya Harlequin sneaked away with a 22-21 over Nakuru RFC are to keep their semi-final hopes alive.
