Kenya Lionesses playmaker Grace Adhiambo win SJAK Sports personality award

Kenya Lionesses star Grace Odhiambo has been awarded as the LG/SJAK Sports Personality of the Month for November.

Adhiambo defeated New York marathon winners Sharon Lokedi and Evans Chebet, tennis star Angela Okutoyi, who won the World Women’s Tour doubles category at Karen Country Club, KCB forward Davis Chenge, who was named MVP of the Impala Floodlit tournament, Moses Omondi of Trail Blazers Volleyball, and rally driver Karan Patel, who won the Kenya national motorsport championships in November.

The playmaker took home the New LG Top Freezer Fridge worth Sh120,000 powered by a 10-year warranty Smart Inverter compressor and a trophy.

The fly-half helped Kenya Lionesses win Pool B in the Rugby Africa Cup group stage matches played in Uganda. The Lionesses defeated Uganda 23-3 at Wankulukuku Stadium in Kampala after defeating Zambia 36-17 to earn nine points.

Adhiambo joins her coach Dennis Mwanja  who was the November Coach of Month and was awarded Sports Journalists Association of Kenya.

The Coach of the Month award was introduced last month, with StarTimes collaborating with the SJAK to promote competitive sportsmanship through the establishment of the award.
