Kenya Lionesses Head Coach Dennis Mwanja has been feted as the November Coach of Month by the Sports Journalists Association of Kenya.

The Coach of the Month award was introduced last month, with StarTimes collaborating with the SJAK to promote competitive sportsmanship through the establishment of the award.

Mwanja led the Kenya Lionesses to victory in Pool B of the Rugby Africa Cup in the November International season, qualifying them for the 2023 Rugby Africa Women’s Cup Championship.

The Lionesses defeated Uganda 23-3 at Wankulukuku Stadium in Kampala after defeating Zambia 36-17 to earn nine points.

Mwanja was awarded Sh100,000, a StarTimes 55-inch smart television set, and a personalized trophy.

To win this award, Mwanja, the former Kenya sevens skipper beat tough competition from fellow coaches Meshack Senge of Strathmore Gladiators hockey team, Paul Gitau of Kenya Pipeline volleyball team, David Obuya of Cricket Kenya and Curtis Olago of KCB Rugby.
