Kenya 7s finished 13th in the Cape Town 7s after a 21-10 win over Canada in match played at DHL stadium.

The Canadians struck in the first minute through Anton Ngongo for a 5-0 but Shujaa responded in style scoring in the fourth minute. Antony Omondi added the extras for a 7-5.

Edmund Anya stretched the lead further as he crossed over for a try that was converted by Omondi for a 14-5 lead heading to the break for a nine-point lead.

Brock Webster trimmed the gap to four points with an unconverted try.

Kenya 7s sealed their victory when Johnstone Olindi crossed over for a try that Daniel Taabu converted for a 21-10.

Kenya 7s will take a break before shifting focus on the Hamilton and Sydney 7s.
