KCB beat Blak Blad to reach Floodlit final

Impala Floodlit holders KCB Rugby proceeded to the final of the 2022 competition after a 14-3 over Blak Blad in the semi[final played at Impala Club.

This will be  KCB’s fourth consecutive final appearance in this competition and they will be eyeing the fourth consecutive trophy.  They will face Nondies who defeated Menengai Oilers 16-11 in the first semi.

In their semi-final encounter against Blad, the bankers found themselves behind after Lionel Ajeliti drilled in a penalty for a 3-0 lead.

KCB’s search for points paid off when eighth man Peter Waitere went over for the first try of the match and it was converted to hand the former Kenya Cup champions a 7-3 lead which lasted till the second half.

The second half saw KCB get one more try which came from halfback Brian Wahinya and, Isaac Njoroge converted for a 14-3 lead.

The side will now proceed to the final scheduled for Saturday night.
