Vihiga Granites coach Sebastian Ochieng has made two changes to his squad ahead of their first appearance in the National 7s Circuit top division at Prinsloo 7s in Nakuru.

Michael Okwemba and Abednego Onsongo have been included in the squad replacing Savatia Lesline who is dropped due to a concussion suffered during their final match against Makueni last weekend. Brian Juma will miss the trip to Nakuru due to family commitments.

The coach has retained Vihiga High School youngster Michael Lukusi. Lukusi played a key role as Vihiga beat Bugoma High School to lift the Western Region Prescott Cup last week and was named in the squad for Dala 7s where he also won the second division title with Granites.

Fortune Aturo, Nick Shevei, Wilson Omondi,  Alex Tirimba, Salano Hillary, Edwin Opele, Sam Bachai, Ivan Adika and Ian Omondi have been retained for the tournament.

Vihiga are in Pool D alongside Defending Champions Mwamba Rugby Club, Strathmore Leos and Blak Blad.  The side will be keen to emulate the likes of Catholic Monks and Daystar Falcon who have done well on their first appearance in the top tier.
