Vihiga-Bungoma to face off in Western Region Prescott final

Vihiga High School and Bungoma High School will face off in the Western Region Prescott final scheduled for Kakamega Showground on Wednesday 29 June 2022.

Both sides head to the final seeking to better their 2019 performance. Vihiga finished third in the 2019 edition after beating Maseno 24-0 in the third-place playoffs.

Bungoma, on the other hand, finished fifth in the 2019 edition after defeating Friends School Kamusinga in the 14-0 fifth place playoffs.

East African defending Champions Kakamega School won the 2019 competition following an 8-7 win over Koyonzo High School at the same venue.

The two sides reached the final after topping their respective pools and won their semi-final encounters. This season they opted not to participate in the competition.

In Nairobi, Ofafa Jericho were crowned Champions after they beat Rift Valley Academy 24-20 to win the 2022 Prescott Cup in the final staged at RFUEA Grounds, Nairobi.

The win saw them end Upper Hill dominance. Upper Hill had won the title in 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Kabianga won the Rift Valley region title after beating Marigat 29-5 in the final held on Sunday at Kabianga High School.
