Philip Wokorach quits Kabras for French side

Ugandan International Philip Wokorach is reported to have quit Kenya Cup side Kabras for French side Bourges.

The player had been linked with a move to France early this month but confirmed to the Scrummage at that period that there was no deal agreed and he was still with Kabras.

And now according to Nafasi Rugby Wokorach who is one of their Ambassador has completed his move to the country, signing for Bourges.

“Good luck Phillip! Your achievements will inspire future generations of Ugandan players, ” reads a statement by Nafasi rugby which was accompanied by a photo confirming he had joined the Frenchside.

The utility player reported to Kabras camp in early September after the Victoria Cup but he returned back home for Safari 7s preparations.

Wokorach had a fine season in 2018/19 winning the top points and top try scorer award as well as the Enterprise Cup Most Valuable Player award.

He helped Kabras to a second place finish in Kenya Cup and also bagged the first ever Enterprise Cup after beating Impala.

Should the deal be confirmed, Kabras will remain with Jone Kubu as the dependable fullback who can also slot on the wing and at fly-half.
