Kenya Simbas have announced their starting line-up for their upcoming match against the Eastern Province Elephants in the Currie Cup First Division/Mzanzi Challenge.
The match is set to take place on Saturday, April 29th, in Port Alfred, South Africa, with kick-off scheduled for 4:00 PM East African Time.
A mix of experienced
Head coach Jerome Paarwater has retained the starting line up that played againts Rhinos. The squad includes some new faces as well as some experienced players.
Ephraim Oduor, Griffin Musila, and Hillary Mwanjilwa make up the front row, with Brian Juma and Hilary Odhiambo in the second row. George Nyambua, who will be leading the team as captain, is joined by Brian Ndirangu and Elkeans Musonye in the back row.
In the half-backs, Samuel Asati, who is the vice-captain, will partner with Ntabeni Dukisa, while Walter Okoth and Joel Inzuga form the midfield combination. Beldad Ogeta and Alfred Orege are on the wings, with Andrew Matoka as the fullback.
The Simbas will have a bench, with Emmanuel Mulindo, Ian Njenga, and Wilhite Mususi providing cover for the front row. Elvis Olukusi and Sheldon Kahi are the other forward replacements, while Timothy Mmasi, Brian Wahinya, and Peter Kilonzo are the backs replacements.
The Simbas will be aiming to replicate their impressive victory over the Elephants in Nairobi last year, where they secured a 41-24 win in front of their supportive fans.
