The Dubai 7s matches will head to the last eight on Saturday 13 December with eight sides still in contention for the Cup.
Fiji find themselves out of the cup contention on point differential and will face Uganda Cranes in the first ninth place quarters. The second match of the day will see Kenya 7s play against Canada in ninth place quarters scheduled for 8:20 am East African Time.
Spain will take on Uruguay in the third match as Great Britain play Japan in the fourth match of the ninth place quarters.
Cup quarters
In the Cup quarters, Argentina have booked a date against Ireland, this is after topping pool B while Ireland came second in Pool C.
The second Cup quarters has USA who topped pool D with maximum points taking on Pool A runners-up Australia.
Pool C winners France have a date against New Zealand while South Africa who topped Pool A have been paired against Samoa.
