Mwamba Rugby Club has announced that the 2025 edition of the Kabeberi Sevens will now be staged at the RFUEA Grounds in Nairobi, from 5–7 September 2025.

The Kabeberi 7s, the fifth leg of the 2025 National Sevens Circuit, was initially set to move to the Goan Institute Sports Ground in Pangani following a landmark partnership announced earlier this year.

The agreement, effective January 1, 2025, secured Mwamba RFC a permanent base at the Goan Institute after three years of uncertainty since leaving the historic Nairobi Railway Club.

In an update shared this week, Mwamba confirmed the change of the 2025 Kabeberi 7s venue to the RFUEA Grounds.

“The 2025 #Kabeberi7s is officially heading to RFUEA Grounds — mark the dates: 5-7 September!

Tickets:
Advance Regular: KSh 400
Advance VIP: KSh 1,000
Available now at *mwambarugby.com,” Mwamba RFC announced.

Had the tournament been hosted at the Goan Institute, it would have become the fourth different venue to stage the historic Kabeberi Sevens in recent years following previous editions held at Railways Club, RFUEA Grounds, and Meru Stadium.

The 2025 National Sevens Circuit will kick off with the Driftwood 7s in Mombasa on July 26–27, continue through several rounds, and conclude with the Dala 7s in Kisumu on September 13–14.

The sevens season will then wrap up with the Safari Sevens from October 10–12, with the venue yet to be announced.

Last season, Kenya Harlequin clinched the overall National Sevens Circuit title for the first time since 2012.
