The Kenya Cup week eight matches, played over the weekend, saw the top three teams remain unbeaten and retain their positions at the top of the standings.

Defending champions Kabras RFC extended their dominance with an impressive 40 points, securing their eighth consecutive win and eighth winning bonus point.

This victory helped them maintain their top position in the league. Kabras RFC boasts a remarkable 495 points scored, the highest in the competition, and have conceded just 55 points, with this weekend marking the highest points they’ve let in so far—22 this season.

KCB Rugby are still hot on Kabras RFC’s heels, also sitting on 40 points, though their point differential places them second. The bankers have scored 451 points and conceded 89, making them the second-best team both offensively and defensively.

Menengai Oilers have kept their hopes alive for a direct semifinal spot, also accumulating 40 points from eight matches, keeping them firmly in the hunt.

However, back-to-back losses for Menengai Oilers and KCB have left Nondies stuck on 28 points after eight rounds, struggling to climb up the standings.

Kenya Harlequin’s continued struggles were evident as they suffered their fourth consecutive loss of the season, leaving them with 22 points.

Blak Blad’s impressive victory this weekend propelled them to 16 points, bringing them closer to the playoff spots.

Kisumu RFC earned a losing bonus point against Nakuru RFC, moving to 12 points, matching their tally from last season.

Impala RFC are on 11 points, while Strathmore Leos remain at 10 points after another defeat.

Mwamba RFC’s second win of the season pushed them to ninth position, a point above the relegation zone.

South Coast Pirates remain in the relegation zone with eight points, while Nakuru RFC are close behind with just five points, despite their maiden win of the season.
