Kenya Harlequin FC are gearing up for an exciting showdown against Impala RFC in the much-anticipated Ngong Road Derby at the RFUEA Grounds at 4:00 p.m.
Quins have been in dominant form in this fixture, winning seven of their last 10 encounters. Their most recent meeting, two seasons ago, saw the Harlequins claim a 29-20 victory.
Kenya Harlequin squad
This year’s clash will see Toulemonte Thibout and Kenya Simbas centre Richel Wangila set to make their first Kenya Cup appearances this season.
Wangila has been out of the country for the Rugby 10s Championship and he returns to the fold after a strong performance in the Enterprise Cup last year.
Under the leadership of captain Sheldon Kahi, the Harlequins are determined to continue their dominance over their rivals.
The forwards have a lineup featuring George Otieno at Loosehead Prop, Adam Mugo at Hooker, and Able Matanda at Tighthead Prop.
The second row will see Thibout partnering with Ben Onyango, while Bill Abuom and Charlton Mokua take up the flanker positions. Kahi will lead the pack from Number Eight.
In the backs, the Harlequins will rely on the experience of Lucky Dewald at Scrum-half and Evin Asena at Fly-half to orchestrate the play.
The centre combination will feature Paul Mutsami, who is Vice-Captain, pairing with Richel Wangila.
On the wings, Leonald Fogang and Charles Kinyanjui will provide the pace, while Leeon Nyang will complete the backline at Fullback.
