Laiser Hill Boys and Itigo Girls are the new 2026 Rift Valley Region Schools Rugby 7s champions.

The two finalists in each category have also secured qualification for the 2026 Kenya Secondary Schools National Rugby 7s Championships, as the Rift Valley Region will be represented by two teams in both the boys’ and girls’ competitions.

Laiser Hill successfully defended their dominance throughout the knockout stage. In the quarter-finals, they comfortably defeated Ndururi 33-0 to book a place in the last four.

They then faced a strong Menengai side in the semi-finals, edging them 12-7 in a closely contested match.

In the final, Laiser Hill produced another outstanding display, defeating St. Antony 25-0 to lift the regional title. Their disciplined defence denied St. Antony any points while their attack proved too strong.

St. Antony had enjoyed an excellent run before the final. They eliminated Poroko 21-12 in the quarter-finals before overpowering Wareng 33-0 in the semi-finals to earn their place in the championship match.
