The South Africans extended their advantage close to the 30-minute mark, with Alichia Arries scoring on the left wing. Shortly after, following a well-executed maul in the central area, the ball was moved to Aphiwe Ngwevu, who raced over the try line to further stretch the lead.
South Africa added another try before halftime to take a commanding 26–5 lead into the break. In the second half, they dominated proceedings, adding 36 more points to seal an emphatic victory.
