Kabras RFC romped into the Kenya Cup final after a dominant 48-12 win over Blak Blad in the semi-final played at Kakamega Showground.
This marked Blad’s first-ever semi-final appearance, while it was Kabras RFC’s 11th, as the sugar men extended their remarkable run to 11 straight wins in as many matches since promotion.

Blad struck first, getting on the scoreboard in just the third minute through the boot of Daniel Oyoo to take a 3-0 lead. Kabras responded almost immediately, with Eugene Sifuna crossing over for a converted try two minutes later to hand the hosts a 7-3 advantage.
Oyoo added another penalty to cut the deficit to 7-6, and the scores remained tight until the 28th minute when Kenya skipper George Nyambua powered over for a try to stretch the lead to 12-6.
Kabras continued to pile on the pressure, with Ephraim Oduor going over in the 36th minute, Jone Kubu adding the extras for a 19-6 lead. Walter Okoth then sealed a dominant first half with a try, Kubu once again converting to give Kabras a 26-6 advantage at the break.
The second half began in similar fashion, with Oduor grabbing his second try just two minutes after restart, Kubu converting for a 33-6 lead as Blad were reduced to 14 men following a yellow card.

Eric Cantona added to the tally with a pacey finish in the corner for 38-6 before Hillary Odhiambo also crossed over to push the score to 43-6.
Blad managed to respond late on, capitalizing on a series of penalties through Oyoo to narrow the gap to 43-12.
The match saw tempers flare, with Jone Kubu sent off after a scuffle, referee Saida Kenya issuing a red card following consultation with the touch judge.
Jeanson Misoga had the final say, crossing over with three minutes to play to wrap up a comprehensive 48-12 victory and send Kabras RFC into yet another Kenya Cup final.
