The Nakuru County Rugby 15s schools 2026 championship has reached the semi-final stage after an action-packed day of rugby that began with pool matches and progressed through to the knockout rounds.
Four schools, Koelel Forces, Jomo Kenyatta High School Nakuru, Menengai High School, and Molo High School, remain in contention for the county title after successfully navigating both the group and quarterfinal stages.

The semi-finals will feature two intriguing matchups. Koelel Forces will take on Jomo Kenyatta High School Nakuru. Koelel have been particularly impressive defensively, conceding very few points across their matches, while Jomo have shown efficiency in their play.
In the second semi-final, Menengai High School will face Molo High School. Menengai enter the contest as one of the most dominant teams in the tournament, having recorded large-margin victories in both the pool stage and quarterfinals. Molo, on the other hand, demonstrated resilience in a tight quarterfinal encounter and will look to carry that fighting spirit into the semi-final.
The quarterfinals determined the four teams that would move on to the last four. Koelel Forces maintained their dominant run by defeating Kilimo 31–00, while Jomo Kenyatta High School secured their semi-final spot with a convincing 28–00 victory over Sirikwa.

Menengai High School continued their attacking display by thrashing Ngata 41–00, further establishing themselves as one of the tournament’s most dangerous sides. The closest quarterfinal came between Molo High School and Naivasha Day, where Molo edged the contest 10–03 to secure the final semi-final berth.
The tournament began with a series of pool matches that shaped the knockout bracket. Ngata opened the day with a 12–00 win over Kieni, while Jomo defeated Molo 8–00 in another early fixture. Menengai immediately signaled their intent with a commanding 38–03 victory over Kilimo, and Moi Amalo and Sirikwa played out a rare 0–0 draw.

Koelel were among the standout teams in the group stage, beating Kieni 22–00 before following it up with a 17–00 victory over Ngata. Menengai continued their strong form by defeating Moi 34–00, while Naivasha Day picked up convincing wins over Sirikwa (27–00) and Moi Amalo (38–00).
Elsewhere, Kilimo edged Moi Secondary School 7–5 in a tight encounter, while the girls’ fixtures saw JM and Ngecho draw 7–7, Ngecho beat Afraha 15–00, and JM later defeat Afraha 12–7.
