Khwesa starts as Blak Blad name squad for Kabras encounter

Blak Blad have named their matchday squad ahead of their Kenya Cup clash against Kabras Sugar set for Saturday 21 February 2026 at 4pm at Bladbin.

The hosts will be banking on home support as they look to stand up to the reigning champions in what promises to be a physical and tactical battle.

Up front, Austin Adero starts at loosehead prop alongside hooker Brian Shile and tighthead Brian Kidake in the front row. Edwin Obare and Rodgers Okoth pair up in the second row, providing size and lineout presence.

The back row sees Peter Musyoki and Odhiambo Steve flank skipper Obat Kuke, who captains the side from number eight. Kuke will be key both at the breakdown against a powerful Kabras pack.

At halfback, Derrick Masese starts at scrum-half, linking up with Enock Oduor at fly-half, who will be tasked with dictating territory and managing the game.

Out wide, Winstone Ayieko and Arcadias Khwesa take up the wing positions, while Bryson Ogamba and vice-captain Claude Nyamiro form the midfield partnership. Elvis Otete slots in at fullback to complete the starting XV.

On the bench, Blak Blad have named Antony Amayi, Sterlin Nyalwal, Peter Mbugua, David Kinyua, Cyprian Dawa, Victor Wakhungila, Gabriel Otete and vice-captain Shuaib Wesonga as impact options.
