The Cleo Malalah 7s kicked off with a bang with Lurambi Young Boys, Sigalagala, Shinyalu delivering emphatic performances early on at the Bull Ring.
Lurambi Boys bouyed by the likes of Mike Lukusi, James Olela, Brian Kiptanui and other youngster were ruthless and defensively solid, recording three consecutive shutouts.
They got a walkover against Bukura, whitewashed Shamberere 28–0 and capped it off with a commanding 52–0 win over Vihiga, emerging as one of the most dominant outfits so far.
Shinyalu also enjoyed a perfect run. They edged Western Bulls 15–10 in a tough opener, got a walkover against Ingo, and then showed composure to overcome Ikonyero 10–7, making it three wins from three matches.
Sigalagala impressed with both flair and discipline. They beat Makunga 26–5, crushed Webuye 43–5 and edged Borderrucks 5–0 to remain unbeaten.

Mbale bounced back after losing MMUST 31–5, edging Rough Machines 17–12 and then pulling off a narrow 27–24 win over Bungoma in one of the most thrilling matches so far.
A number of teams sit just behind the pace with two victories each.
Western Bulls bounced back strongly after early setbacks, securing wins over Ikonyero (14–5) and Ingo (28–0), keeping their campaign alive.
Shamberere picked up convincing victories against Vihiga (17–10) and Bukura (28–0).
MMUST vs Bungoma will be played on Wednesday, just before the cup quarters.
