St. Mary’s Yala are Siaya County Rugby 15s Champions

St Mary’s Yala rugby team have displayed their dominance in Siaya County 15s games  snatching a 46-00 win over Chianda to retain the trophy and qualify for the Nyanza region championship.

In the final match, St. Mary’s Yala managed six tries with five well-converted tries and two penalty kicks to seal their win as they denied Chianda path through their defence.

In the whole tournament, Ugenya High is the only team that made a successful whitewash cross against the champions in the group stage.
