South Coast Pirates Tactician Kevin Amiani has issued a rallying call to club’s faithful’s to turn out in large numbers ahead of their weekend duel against USIU martials in the KRU championship 2022/23 season opener slated for Saturday 26th,at Seacrest Grounds,Diani.

The match comes with lots of expectation for pirates who recorded a good performance during the last campaign showing the mettle to be crowned champions only for UON to end their dream in the semis,  with all eyes set for Kenya cup promotion come end season.

Speaking to the Scrummage, moments after revealing his charges that will be on duty, the youthful tactician assured the club fans of entertainment.

“The fans should come out in large numbers to support the team, we are going to entertain them fully, we are much ready to face USIU” said Amiani.

Asked on his team readiness, Amiani remained upbeat that his charges are ready for the challenge ahead.

“Am looking forward for a tough match, I believe my boys are up for the challenge and they will deliver “he added.

The Diani based side managed to retain all of their last seasons squad, bringing on board former Bungoma RFC utility man Ibrahim Nyongesa whom Amiani has lauded his inclusion in the team, Nyongesa will start at position 8.

“Nyongesa is a fantastic player,he understands what is expected of him over the weekend, it’s up for him now to cement his position in the first team”.

The match kicks off at 3pm.
