As the Mombasa Basketball League MBA almost coming to an end,Taita Taveta’s Wundanyi based outfit Dr.Aggrey high school have proven to be a hard nut to crack, posing all sorts of threats to the opponents, putting in mind they are students who have beaten the odds to take part in the tight scheduled County league, have since warned their rivals to be ready of an uphill battle in the league.
The Kevin Aran led charges last weekend shook the waves by whitewashing the defending champions Congo Nets 75-52.With all the indicators showing they might be the champions designated.
However, their head coach Aran has vowed to finish off opponents early in their encounter, challenging his charges to avoid laxity as they gear up for the weekend challenge when they take on sixth placed SKYHOOPERS in a clash slated for Saturday 26th at Makadara grounds 4pm.
Later on Sunday,the students who enjoy top of the summit advantage with 34 points on the name after 18 rounds will be lock horns with ACK NETS who are trailing at bottom of the table.
“My boys should focus till the last minute,it is not over until it’s over,” said Aran.
“It was nice downing the defending champions,the win really motivated us to face our next opponents”.he added.
The KSSSA national champs are using the league to sharpen their claws as they wait for resumption of school league which commences next year,with their hunger on garnishing their cabinet with the coveted silverwares.
