Kenya Harlequin stun Kabras in final preseason friendly

Kenya Harlequin beat Kenya Cup Champions Kabras RFC 35-24 in the final preseason friendly played at RFUEA Grounds.

Paul Murunga charges led via a converted try. The scoreline changed later with both sides adding 10 points to the board for a 17-10 lead for Quins.

Quins then raced for three unanswered tries to take the scoreline to 32-10.

Kabras late fightback saw them score through replacements Mathias Osimbo and Dan Angwech with both tries being converted for a 32-24 scoreline.

Quins added a three-pointer for a win. The two sides now shift focus to the 2021/22 campaign.

Kabras head to the new campaign having played three matches prior to the Quins match. Two matches came against lower tier sides Mbale (Nationwide) and championship side Kisumu RFC.

They later played MMUST in the Victoria Cup final which they won 17-13.

Kenya Harlequin on the other hand have had two matches with their first preseason being against KCB where they lost 14-10 in the Impala Floodlit tournament.
