Kakamega School defeat Senende in friendly match

National 15s Champions Kakamega School defeated Vihiga County’s Senende Boys 15-7 in a friendly match played on Saturday.

The Barbarians who won the 2019 National and East African Title landed three unconverted tries in the win over Senende.

Roykeane’s try

Fly-half Roykeane Chisutia sold a dummy off a ruck and sliced through the Senende defence for the first try. Ayumba Aggrey’s conversion attempt was unsuccessful.

Jeff Akhura scored Kakamega’s final try, with Ayumba once again missing the target.

Godfrey Aliaga pulled back for the Senende boys in spectacular fashion, dancing all the way through Kakamega’s defense and scoring a try under the posts. He got up and converted his own try for a seven-pointer.

Wamanga delighted

Kakamega’s Coach Amos Wamanga expressed his delight in the friendly and thanked the Principal for facilitating it.

“I was happy to see the boys back in action and we were able to gauge a few things and areas of improvement. I  would like to say Thank you, Mr Principal, for facilitating and supporting the Friendly,” he told the Scrummage Africa.
